Don´t do this at home

A week ago, I went to have a walk on the country. I chose a volcanic area where you can see amazing lava stones.

Because of the volcanic origin, there are many holes and caves. I was trying to find a cave, called the ass´s cave. People say that some years ago, when the asses died, they threw them inside. So it is supposed to be a kind of donkey graveyard.

I didn´t know where exactly the cave was, so I went cross-country, looking for it. I think that I was in the wrong zone, because two hours later, I hadn´t found anything. I stopped for a while, took some photos and saw... A big cactus!

In fact, I was surrounded by enormous cactus. And I suddenly had an idea. I had just found a stick, so I used it to make a small cave on one of these cactus. After that, the sap started to flow. It was white and it hadn´t any special smell.

I decided to disguise myself as a Cherokee, and immortalize myself taking a photo. I would paint two lines on my face using that sap. So I did it. I was so proud! :)

After that, I continued looking for the cave. It wasn´t in that area. I felt myself a bit hungry (It was 6pm and I handn´t had lunch yet. So I went back home.

Later, that night, I felt irritation, an itch on my nose, my eyes hurt... I got into the bathroom and looked myself in the mirror. My cheekbones were RED! I had a lot of small pimples there, and they didn´t seem to be OK at all. I realised that to make up myself with that thing wasn´t a good idea.

I put cream on my face, and the pain decreased a bit.

While I was damming myself for doing the Cherokee, I looked on the Internet for some information. I found the kind of cactus. The name was "Euphorbia canariensis". They explained that its sap is a venomous latex.

So, I can strongly advise you not to try this at home! ;)
